Tokyo Flâneur Vol. 2 is an exhibition that is currently on display at Jinny Street Gallery in Tokyo, between January 19 and February 18, 2024.
Jinny Street Gallery is comprised of a number of art displays right in the streets of Tokyo's Jingumae area (close to Harajuku/Meiji-Jingu mae, and Shibuya). These glass cases, ingeniously incorporated into the bases of street lamp posts, were intentionally designed to serve as art displays—with down lights and small rails to suspend the artwork. This is a truly creative design idea, which transforms a purely functional object into a cultural one, and redefines a street as a gallery space.
